Many teachers write supplementary materials for their own learners and these can be very successful. But the greater test is when your materials are used by other teachers in other classrooms. In this session we’ll consider the implications of writing materials which are shared and used by other teachers and I’ll also present some key principles which will make your materials more effective.
In this session you will learn how to:
- understand the teacher-student-materials relationship
- establish the ‘voice’ of the materials
- maintain a flow through a series of exercises, develop your ‘materials radar’ and create texts
- pilot, edit and share your materials with other teachers.
